Conversations About the Transition into Religious Life

Their experiences differ, but shared values motivate women religious

Each woman?s experience is different, but all share a desire to deepen their relationship with God, live in community, and serve society?s most vulnerable members.

Read more from women who have made the choice, in their own words.

Years ago, you left the world to give your life to God. Today to serve God we have to enter the world. You aren?t going to find God on some mountaintop unless you enter into the lives of people around you.

Sister Patricia Glen

The women may know that God has given them something special, but they may need to explore it. I help them with that and help them to be honest with themselves. They need to know that if they enter and begin to have doubts or decide not to stay, that isn?t some sort of infidelity or a letdown.

Sister Alice St. Hilaire
