Special recognition for an SP heroine
09/26/2011

Sister Rita Ferschweiler will have her name engraved on a wall at the Walk of the Heroines on the campus of Portland State University. The recognition was initiated by Providence Health & Services, the Provincial Superior and Council, and the Sisters of Providence in Portland.

International Formation Experience
09/22/2011

Fifteen sisters in temporary vows and three apostolic novices arrived at the Sisters of Providence International Centre in Montreal in April for a 3½-month stay. They came from different backgrounds, different province experiences and different languages for this unique opportunity to get to know other new sisters who are part of an international, intergenerational and intercultural family. The extended time actually living the “3 Is” (international, intergenerational, intercultural) had a tremendous impact on the participants.

Today's Scripture

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths."

Proverbs 3:5-6
